As the longest-standing wedding industry award-giving body, the Australian Bridal Industry Academy was established back in 1996 and it aims to give engaged couples a hand in determining which wedding businesses are trustworthy and highly competent in their special fields. Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events and couples get to invest their hard-earned money and valued time just to be able to celebrate their momentous day. With this in mind, it is only fair to be able to make a sound decision as to which wedding suppliers to book, considering the quality of their services or goods and the price tag attached. 

In turn, the ABIA pushes local Australian wedding businesses to perform better in all aspects as their services and goods are to be reviewed by real couples and actual paying clients. The best vendors and suppliers in the industry are recognized each year, proving that hard work and dedication in the field of wedding and events really pays off.

With ABIA, couples get to leave their honest ratings of wedding businesses to help future couples in figuring out which suppliers are a perfect fit for their own wedding day. Wedding suppliers, wedding vendors, and wedding businesses in Australia are mostly members of ABIA and all awards are given based on the wedding clients’ ratings, which are based on the 4 Pillars of Perfection:

More than 25,000 couples get to rate the wedding businesses which are registered members of the ABIA each year. Of the thousands of businesses in the industry, there are 35 ABIA Awards given out and the categories range from Best Bridal Gown Boutique to Best Beauty Services and even to Best Celebrants.
